Who is Eric LON ?
At the age of 19 he became a swimming teacher : he is still active in that field in summer, in the Var. At 21 he became physical training teacher, then international judge in bodybuilding and Vice President of the French Body building Federation. At 23 he started massage and physiotherapy studies in Marseille, and for 3 years he studied yoga with an old teacher. At 26 he got his national certificate and he was employed in an hospital. At 27 he created his own clinic in Toulon, then a second clinic in Marseille.
He specialised early on as a reflexologist. He studied French ear massage with the creator of this technique: Doctor Paul Nogier. He learned foot massage with the English doctor: Martine Faure Alderson.
With the Dutch reflexologist, Imre Somogy, and with the French Michel Charruyer he discovered the connections existing between the toes and the mind. This helped him to develop global holistic treatments.
50 years ago, Françoise Mézières, a French physiotherapist created a revolutionary physiotherapic technique able to balance the body and the mind as a whole. Mézières' technique looks a bit like yoga and Thaï massage, but it is a completly different technique acting on all the body from the toes to the head. Only specialised physiotherapists use this specific technique.
Eric LON was very lucky to be taught by Françoise Mézières herself and by Philippe Souchard, her main assistant at that time, who created a derivative technique called: “ Global postural physiotherapy”. Eric Lon was also a student in the “ Higher Sophrology school”, in Nice, and he adapted the “ Dynamic Relaxation “ of Professor Caycedo for the benefit of pregnant women.
In 1999, Eric LON closed his two French clinics to explore the world, studying various techniques of massage. He became a “ globe trotter ‘s physiotherapist” and he trekked mainly in the Himalayas: India, Nepal, Tibet.
